Violin Narooz-Gad, MA, LPC

Violin Narooz-Gad is a dedicated mental health professional with a unique background that blends her initial career in music with a deep passion for psychology. After earning her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University, she focused on helping adults navigate mental health challenges such as depression, anxiety, trauma, and relationship issues. Her diverse therapeutic expertise includes Emotionally Focused Therapy, the Gottman Method, Internal Family Systems therapy while allowing her to provide personalized care tailored to each client’s needs.  She also uses EMDR & ART for more targeted trauma work for her clients as well.

Violin’s experience extends beyond private practice, having worked with survivors of torture and trauma at the Calgary Catholic Immigration Society and volunteered her services to refugees in Jordan, Lebanon, and Sweden. These experiences have enriched her ability to connect with clients from all backgrounds, offering a compassionate and supportive space for healing.

In addition to her clinical work, Violin has shared her knowledge as an adjunct faculty member at Purdue Global University, mentoring future counselors. She approaches each therapeutic session with deep respect, viewing it as a sacred space where healing and growth can occur, and believes strongly in the power of walking alongside others through their pain.
